Without Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom

Without Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom

Shalom,

The Psalmist says :

Psa 111:10  KJV
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

The prophet Isaiah says :

Isa 11:2  KJV
And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
Paul says :
Col 1:9  KJV
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
There are 3 things which are very important : knowledge, understanding and wisdom. And all of these are ONLY from the LORD God.

Pro 2:6  KJV
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Knowledge is the accumulation of facts.
Understanding is the arrangement of facts.
Wisdom is the application of those facts.

Knowledge without understanding, is like a computer with a hard drive filled with informations, but never turned on.

Understanding is the ability to place information recieved through study, personal experience with the LORD God in a proper arrangement. If we learn and do not put into practice all we have learned, our knowledge becomes like faith without action -- it is dead according James 2:17.

Jas 2:17  KJV
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Example :
All smokers have the knowledge that smoking is a habit that finally can cause cancer. But some smokers don't think cancer will ever affect them. This is not a lack of knowledge but a lack of understanding.

So, knowledge without understanding is like faith without action which is dead.

Regarding this topic, I want to share to you something that really, really bother me a lot.

Today is Sunday 4 of April 2010, when some traditional Christians think that this is the day of resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach). And because of that, as usual, they greet each other saying "Happy Easter".

This is a knowledge without understanding.

The word "Easter" is derived from a pagan feast to worship the goddes of Ishtar in ancient Babylonian. To be more detail, please click here : Easter

Is it worthy as Jesus' followers (Yeshua's followers) but practicing pagan custom which is wrapped tidily in Christianity?

Another form of knowledge without understanding is when today Christians greet each other "Happy Passover".

"Happy Passover" on the day of resurrection? Is it biblical?

Passover is the feast of sacrifice. Not a feast of resurrection. Please read it carefully!

Exo 12:27  KJV
That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

Exo 34:25  KJV
Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.

Mat 26:2  KJV
Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

Passover is the feast of sacrifice of the Lamb of God, yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ). Passover is NOT the feast of resurrection.

The Bible actually teaches us knowledge, understanding and wisdom that the feast of resurrection of Messiah is known as the Feast of Firstfruit, in Hebrew is Chag HaBikkurim.

Passover or Pesach in Hebrew is on 14 Nisan. 3 days 3 nights later is the Feast of Firstfruit or Chag HaBikkurim in Hebrew on 17 Nisan.

If today some Christians say :"Happy Passover" or "Happy the Feast of Sacrifice/Crucifixion" on the day of Resurrection, the question is : is it correct? Is it biblical?

Remember :
Col 1:9  KJV
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
I pray that you have the knowledge, understanding and wisdom in the Spirit of fear of the LORD God.

Bamashiach Yeshua, barukh hu
. Amen. Through the Messiah Yeshua, blessed be He. Amen
