Shalom,
Mat 25:40 KJV
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Who are "my brethren" in Mat 25:40? Are they "Israel"? or are they "the Church"?
It is crucial to understand Mat 25:40. Why? Because Mat 25:40 is the repeating prophecy from Joel 3:2 and Zechariah 14:2.....They are refering to the same even which is the judgement of the gentile nations according to how they treat Yeshua's "Brethren".
Joe 3:2 KJV
I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
Zec 14:2 KJV
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Mat 25:31 KJV
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Mat 25:32 KJV
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
How many gathering of the nations are there? THERE IS ONLY ONE!
All throughout the Bible there is only a single judgement of the nations. This is the judgement when the Lord gathers the nations for judgement regarding their injustices toward the nation of Israel.
Why did Yeshua use the word "Brethren" in Mat 25:40? It is the same as Moses when Moses mentioned :
Deu 18:15 KJV
The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
Moses prophecied about Yeshua as the Messiah in Deu 18:15. Messiah will be coming from the midst of Israel, of Israel's brethren. So, who were they that Yeshua talking about in Mat 25:40 when He was saying "My Brethren"? IT IS ISRAEL.
The "Brethren" in Mat 25:40 are the Israelites, who are Yeshua's relatives, according to the flesh.
In Mat 25, Yeshua tells the story : "I was hungry and you gave Me food...thirsty and you gave Me drink...in prison and you visited Me...a stranger and you took Me in...naked and you clothed Me."
"In prison?...Sick? When was Yeshua sick or in prison?
If you want to know when Yeshua was in prison or hungry or naked, then simply watch some Holocaust footage. There, you will see Him.
OK...what does that have to do with Salvation?
This typical kind of question, I will respond by asking a Yeshua-style question.
The Antichrist will divide Israel, he wants to also divide Jerusalem between Israel and Islam. Please read Joel 3:2 for detail. Now, if the Antichrist wants Jerusalem divided, and Yeshua condems this division, which side are you on? Yeshua's side? or Antichrist's side?
Can one be on the side of Yeshua and the side of Antichrist as well? No way! There are always tests and evidences for one to check to see if they are producing God's fruit. Without any real fruit, you are never saved!
Is this all too difficult to swallow? Well, everyone must swallow, either swallow God's Word, or swallow His wrath. The choice is yours. I urge you to choose the narrow gate which is the Word of God.
I will follow Yeshua's parable, because Yeshua is my Lord. He teaches me this parable...
This is the parable of the Two Christians Nazis During the Holocaust.
"On Sunday morning, a pastor walked by nicely dressed going to the church. He swerves out of the way from the sidewalk where a thin Jewish woman with her two starving children were begging, "Please, I have had nothing to eat and we are practically naked, please a piece of bread, and a blanket." she says.
Unconcerned the pastor removes her clinging hand, obviously getting his fine garments dirty. "Lady, I am on my way to church, I have washed, and can't you see that I am busy doing the Lord's work?"
Then a man by the name Oscar Schindler walks by. And though he belonged to the Nazi Party, he was defiant and hated Hitler. He stops, takes the woman and her children in his car, puts her to work in his factory and keeps her and her children alive."
Which one of the two did the work of God? Was it the pastor or the repentant Nazi?
At the end, there will be many who will call Him "Lord, Lord, we healed in Your Name, we cast out demons in Your Name...but the Lord doesn't recognize them.
Mat 7:22 KJV
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 KJV
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
In every detail of the many afflictions of Israel, the Lord Himself also suffers. Isaiah said it clearly.
Isa 63:9 KJV
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
When the Jews were silent as they died - He was silent as the crowd mocked Him before and during the cross. When they were strangers and in prisons (Ghetto in the West, and Mellahs in the Middle East), so was He. When they were starving, so was He. Even in their death, literally naked, so was His death, He was naked. As Yeshua died, so did the nation of Israel. As Yeshua was resurrected, so did the nation of Israel.
Hos 6:2 KJV
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
Note :
1 day for the Lord = 1000 years for mankind.
2 days for the Lord = 2000 years for mankind.
So also, did the nation of Israel arise "after two days" - "after two thousands years" and was born in one day, May 14 1948 ( 5 Iyyar 5708).
Isa 66:8 KJV
Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
Keep blessing Israel.
Shalom.
