Apakah Miriam mempunyai anak-anak lagi setelah Yeshua?

Apakah Miriam mempunyai anak-anak lagi setelah Mesias Yeshua dilahirkan? Mari kita lihat beberapa penjelasan Kitab Suci tentang hal ini.

Penjelasan dari Mat 13:55-56 dan Mar 6:3
Mat 13:55 
Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
Mat 13:56 
And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

Mar 6:3 
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

Pengajaran Roma Katolik melalui The Catholic Cathecism mengajarkan :
"The Church has always understood these passages as not referring to other children of the Virgin Mary. In fact James and Joseph, 'brothers of Jesus,' are the sons of another Mary, a disciple of Christ..." (Pg. 126 #500).

Sekarang untuk detailnya, mari kita membaca sendiri apa yang sebenarnya ditulis dalam bahasa aslinya yaitu bahasa Yunani.

Kata brethren atau brothers berasal dari kata adelphos.

Kata ἀδελφός - adelphos berasal dari kata  δελφύς - delphus yag artinya adalah the womb atau rahim, untuk menjelaskan saudara-saudara yang berasal dari 1 rahim atau saudara kandung.

Definisi kata adelphos berdasarkan Thayer's Greek Definition adalah :

adelphos denotes "a brother, or near kinsman;" in the plural, "a community based on identity of origin or life." It is used of :

1. male children of the same parents, Matt 1:2; Matt 14:3;
   
2. male descendants of the same parents, Acts 7:23, 26; Heb 7:5;
   
3. male children of the same mother, Matt 13:55; 1 Cor 9:5; Gal 1:19;
   
4. people of the same nationality, Acts 3:17,22; Rom 9:3. With "men" (aner, "male"), prefixed, it is used in addresses only, Acts 2:29, 37, etc.;

Jadi berdasarkan bahasa aslinya yaitu adelphos, maka kita mengerti bahwa Mat 13:55 adalah berbicara tentang saudara-saudara kandung Yeshua yaitu Yaacov, Yosef, Shimon dan Yehudah.

Hal ini berarti setelah melahirkan Ha'Adon Yeshua, maka Miriam - Yosef hidup selayaknya suami isteri dan mempunyai beberapa anak-anak lagi dari hasil perkawinannya yaitu Yaacov, Yosef, Shimon dan Yehudah.

Dalam beberapa ayat di atas kita lihat memakai kata adelphos, yang artinya adalah saudara sekandung.

Sedangkan untuk menjelaskan saudara bukan sekandung dalam bahasa Yunani adalah ἀνέψιος - anepsios.

Hal ini dapat dijumpai dalam Kolose 4:10.

Penjelasan dari Mat 1:23-25
Mat 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Dalam ayat 25 dikatakan : And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son yang artinya adalah tetapi Yosef tidak bersetubuh dengan Miriam sampai ia melahirkan anaknya laki-laki.

Berarti setelah melahirkan Yeshua, maka Yosef dan Miriam hidup selayaknya suami isteri. Miriam tidak selamanya virgin.

Jadi apakah Miriam mempunyai anak-anak lagi setelah melahirkan Yeshua? Ya, karena Alkitab mengatakannya bahwa adik-adik kandung Yeshua adalah Yaacov, Yosef, Shimon dan Yehudah.

Kata brethren atau adelphos berasal dari kata delphus yang artinya adalah rahim. Jadi adelphos adalah saudara-saudara yang berasal dari satu rahim atau saudara kandung.
