The word feasts in English translation of KJV Bible comes from Hebrew word mô‛êd. It is a meeting time, a appointed time that the LORD God has made to meet with His people.
Imagine, if a President of a nation has made several meeting times or appointed times, do you dare not to come? Do you dare not to observe?
If we are afraid of not coming in President's meeting times, then how about God's meeting time? Do you dare not to to come? Do you dare not to observe?
Remember, God says that these are His feasts.
Lev 23:2 KJV
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
These feasts belong to God, not mankind.
So, there are 7 God's feasts according to Lev 23. Those are :
1. Passover - Pesach (15 Nisan).
2. Seven Days Unleavened Bread - Chag HaMatzot(15 Nisan - 22 Nisan).
3. Firstfruits - Reishit Katzir (17 Nisan).
4. Pentecost - Shavuot (6 Sivan - 7 Sivan).
5. Trumpets - Rosh Hashanah (1 Tishri).
6. Day of Atonement - Yom Kippur (10 Tishri).
7. Tabernacles - Sukkot (15 Tishri - 21 Tishri).
Those 7 are appointed times.

Andre

Thank you for sharing this article, Bro :)
ReplyDeleteI remember that my Pastor in Cebu gave a sermon about kairos and chronos also, like Sis Liana said.
It's about God's time.
We must submit our will to God and we must believe in His time not ours, because His time is the best for us.
I believe that God gave this feast for our own good.
May God bless you.
Amen Bro. That's true, Bro. His time is best.
ReplyDeleteKeep in His Word.
Blessing,
Andre
