Shalom,

"G'MAR CHATIMAH TOVA" - "May you be sealed (in the Book of Life) for good". YOM KIPPUR or the DAY OF ATONEMENT. The TORAH says this as PLURAL form, YOM HA'KIPPURIM.

Lev 23:27
Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a DAY OF ATONEMENT [יום הכפרים - YOM HA'KIPPURIM]: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto Y-H-V-H.

It's PLURAL because it involves all aspects of ATONEMENTS, a multitude of transgressions, iniquities, and sins.
The TORAH says, without BLOOD there is no ATONEMENT.

Lev 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an ATONEMENT for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an ATONEMENT for the soul.

The BRIT CHADASHAH confirms what the TORAH says.

Heb 9:22
And almost all things are by the TORAH purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

The TALMUD confirms what the TORAH says in Yoma 5a.

There is no ATONEMENT without BLOOD. Yeshua offered His own body up to be the perfect Sacrifice for sins. By His shed blood we are given complete atonement before Y-H-V-H.

2Co 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

The Levitical system of animal sacrifices, in YOM KIPPURIM ritual, was meant to foreshadow the true and abiding Sacrifice of Yeshua as the means of our reconciliation with God. The B'rit Yeshanah (Old Covenant) provides a shadow of the substance revealed in the B'rit Chadashah (New Covenant).

As Messianic Believers in Yeshua, who believe that Yeshua is the ULTIMATE / PERFECT KORBAN to make ATONEMENT, we obeserve YOM KIPPURIM in order to better identify with the Jewish people, our brothers, to pray for their national SALVATION [YESHU'AH].

How can we be grafted in to the Jewish people as in Romans 11:17, if our brothers are not saved?

Rom 11:17
And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

Rom 11:18
Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

"Do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you, the Gentiles who support the root, but the root that supports you, the Gentiles."

The Spring Feasts (PASSOVER, UNLEAVENED BREAD, FIRSTFRUITS, and SHAVUOT) have been perfectly fulfilled in the First Coming of Yeshua as Mashiach ben Yosef, and the Fall Feasts (YOM TERU'AH, YOM KIPPURIM, and SUKKOT) will be fulfilled in His Second Coming as Mashiach ben David. Since the First Coming fulfilled all of the Spring Mo'edim to the smallest of details, we believe that His Second Coming has similar fulfillment as revealed in the Fall Mo'edim.

YOM TERU'AH (ROSH HA'SHANAH) is a picture of the "catching away" of kallat Mashiach (the Bride of Messiah) for the time of Sheva Berachot (seven "days" of blessing that follows the marriage ceremony).

Then will come the Great Tribulation and the "great Day of Y-H-V-H" (יוֹם־יְהוָה הַגָּדוֹל). During this time, ethnic Israel will be fully restored to Y-H-V-H and their sins will be purged (Matthew 24). Yeshua will then physically return to Israel to establish His glorious millennial kingdom in Zion. Finally "all Israel will be saved" (Rom 11:26) through this Feast, YOM HA'KIPPURIM and Yeshua will be coronated as the King of King of Kings - Melech Malchei Ha-Melachim (מֶלֶךְ מַלְכֵי הַמְּלָכִים) through the Feast, SUKKOT.

Isa 1:18

Come now, and let us reason together, saith Y-H-V-H: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

So, let us identify ourselves with our brothers in Mashiach, the Jewish people to pray for their salvation in this prophetic feast of YOM HA'KIPPURIM. May His Kingdom come soon, and in our day, may your name be sealed in the Book of Life for good and may all Israel be saved in Yeshua's Name.

Amen.
