Shalom,
"Church, boast NOT against the branches" or in other word "Church, do NOT be anti-Jews".
The title, it is taken from Romans 11 written by Paul.
Rom 11:13 KJV
For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
Whom was Paul addressing to? Paul was addressing this letter to the Gentiles. To the Church.
Rom 11:14 KJV
If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
Rom 11:15 KJV
For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
Rom 11:16 KJV
For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
Rom 11:17 KJV
And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Who is the olive tree in Rom 11:17?
Psa 52:8 KJV
But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
Jer 11:16 KJV
The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
Jer 11:17 KJV
For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.
So, who is the olive tree in Rom 11:17? It is Israel; it is the Jewish people. Who is the wild olive in Rom 11:17? As Paul was speaking to the Gentiles Believers (the Church), so the wild olive is the Church. The Gentiles Believers.
Rom 11:18 KJV
Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Paul said, "Church, boast NOT against the Jewish people. It is not you that bears the Jewish people, but the Jewish people bears you".
Rom 11:19 KJV
Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
Rom 11:20 KJV
Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
Rom 11:21 KJV
For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Again, here Paul said, "Church, please don't be arrogant to the Jewish people; please don't be anti Jewish; on the contrary, be terrified!
Rom 11:22 KJV
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Rom 11:23 KJV
And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
Rom 11:24 KJV
For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
Rom 11:25 KJV
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 KJV
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
All Israel will be saved. When will it happen? On Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
If Passover is about INDIVIDUAL SALVATION, but Yom Kippur is about NATIONAL SALVATION. Yom Kippur is a prophetic that all Israel will be saved, will be accepting their Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach.
Remember the story of Joseph?
Joseph is typology of Suffering Messiah. After Joseph became a number 2 person in Egypt, no one of his family recognize Joseph. Why is that? Because Joseph looked different. He dressed as a gentile, he dressed an Egyptian, smelled as Egyptian.
Today, none of the Jewish people recognize Jesus as their Messiah. Why is that? Because we describe Him in gentile ways and the worst thing is because we are becoming anti Jewish.
Isn't that sad?
But, when was Joseph reveal himself to his family? To answer this question we must read Genesis 44:16-34.
When Judah was younger, he had showed no regard for his brother Joseph or his father, Jacob. First he had convinced his brothers to sell Joseph as a slave (Gen 37:27); then he had joined his brothers in lying to his father about Joseph's fate (Gen 37:32). But what a change had taken place in Judah! The man who had sold one favored little brother into slavery now offered to become a slave himself to save another favored little brother. He was so concerned for his father and younger brother that he was willing to die for them.
When Judah repented, Joseph revealed himself to his family. When Judah repented, Joseph revealed himself to his family. When Judah repented, Joseph revealed himself to his family.
Gen 45:3 KJV
And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.
Gen 45:4 KJV
And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
When the all Jewish people repentf rom their sins, Yeshua (Jesus) will reveal Himself to the Jewish people and He will say, "Come near to Me!"
That's why Paul said in Romans 11:27.
Rom 11:27 KJV
For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Jer 31:31 KJV
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Who is the New Covenant for? It is for Israel. For the Jewish people. What about the Gentiles? Gentiles, they are grafted into the Jewish people as one tree.
Jer 31:32 KJV
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 KJV
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 KJV
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
When is the day NOT to remember the sin no more? Yom Kippur. So this is a very important day. The Day of Atonement.
Rom 11:28 KJV
As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Church, concerning the Gospel of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ), the Jewish people are hostile toward you. But concerning Covenant as a chosen people, the Jewish people are the loved one for the Patriarchs' sake.
Amen?
What is it like if the Church becomes anti Jewish people? Anyone know a person name Diotrephes in the Bible? He was a Gentile believer but anti Jewish people.
3Jn 1:9 KJV
I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
Who was Diotrepehes? His name was not a Jewish name. His name was a Greek name. But he did not receive Yochanan (John), a Jewish. Who was Yochanan (John)? Yochanan (John) was a disciple whom Yeshua (Jesus) loved
3Jn 1:10 KJV
Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
3Jn 1:11 KJV
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Church, boast NOT against the Jewish people. Church, do NOT follow the way of Diotrephes.
May Adonai, our God, King of the universe bless in our study through His Son Yeshua HaMashiach. Amen.

That's the problem, Bro..
ReplyDeleteMany churches still despise the Hebrew roots teaching and believe in Replacement Theology.
Many Jews themselves do not believe in Yeshua as their Messiah (The savior) and the Lord.
This is like a veil covered their eyes both the church and the Jews (Israel).
It will be uncovered or God will take it off, once the great tribulation/ God's judgment/ Jacob Trouble is over and Jesus / Yeshua return to His people (Jesus second coming).
Amen, Bro.
ReplyDeleteIn Yom Kippur day, we pray to God that all the Jewish people will remember without blood there is no remission of sins...
We all know that the Jewish Rabbi theology replace the blood sacrifice with 3T (Tehillah / Prayer, Teshuvah / Repentance, and Tzedakkah / Charity), and they forgot about the blood sacrifice...
In other way, most Christians remember the sacrifice of Yeshua, but forgetting the Torah...
We pray that in this Yom Kippur day, the Jewish unbelievers will remember the sacrifice and realizing that Yeshua HaMashiach done that already and for the Christians to return to their Jewish root and remember the Torah of Hashem.
It's a good article, Bro.
I'll share it in my FB.
God bless you in Yeshua's Name.
Amen Sis, that's true. All of these covers that cover the Church and the Jewish people, God will take it off, at the time for harvest (Rapture).
ReplyDeleteRom 11:15 KJV
For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead ?
At the moment, we are still on part A of Rom 11:15 (For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world). Part B of Rom 11:15 will be fulfilled in the near future at the Rapture (an event about life from the dead), then they will receive their Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus)..
Amen Bro Agus. As 1 tree together with the Jewish people, let us keep praying for their salvation on receiving Yeshua. Yom Kippur is always celebrated every year as a prophetic that one day all Israel will receive Yeshua. Amen v' Amen!
ReplyDeleteAmen Bro..
ReplyDeleteThat's really true..
