Was the Torah (the Law) Really Nailed to the Cross

Is that true that in the New Testament the Torah (the Law) really nailed to the cross by reading Col 2:14?

Col 2:14
Blotting out the handwriting of ORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Let us examine the Scripture together.

The word ORDINANCES in Greek is DOGMA (δόγμα). DOGMA (δόγμα) means = DOCTRINE; DECREE; PUBLIC DECREE MADE BY RULERS. It applies to the man-made decree. NOT from God.

If we refer to the TORAH that God gave to Moses, it is called in Greek as NOMOS (νόμος). NOT DOGMA. NOMOS means = MOSAIC LAW; THE LAW.

Col 2:14 is talking about "DOGMA". It is NOT "NOMOS".

Eph 2:15
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ORDINANCES (DOGMA); for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

Eph 2:15 is also talking about "DOGMA".

Was the Shabbat Really Changed?

Was the Shabbat really changed to Sunday?

Shabbat is a SIGN; is a COVENANT between Y-H-V-H and us.

Eze 20:12
Moreover also I gave them My Shabbats, to be a SIGN between Me and them, that they might know that I am the Y-H-V-H that sanctify them.

Eze 20:18
But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye NOT in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:
Eze 20:19
I am the Y-H-V-H your God; walk in My statutes, and keep My judgments, and do them;
Eze 20:20
And hallow My Shabbats; and they shall be a SIGN between Me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

Yeshua did NOT destroy the Torah, Yeshua did NOT destroy the Shabbat. In fact, Yeshua and His disciples observed the Shabbat.

Mat 5:17
Think NOT that I am come to destroy the Torah, or the prophets: I am NOT come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Mar 1:21
And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the Shabbat day He entered into the synagogue, and taught.

Act 17:2
And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Shabbat days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

Parashat Chayei Sarah

Shalom,

Centuries before Yeshua (Jesus) walked the earth, Ezra the Scribe divided the first 5 books of the Bible -- the Torah -- into 54 portions so that in the course of a year the entire scroll would be recited during services.

This practice is still observed in synagogues around the world today. Yeshua (Jesus) said that these Scriptures plainly testify of Him :

Luk 24:27  KJV
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Now you can better understand just how these Scriptures bear witness that Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised Messiah of Israel by studying the weekly Torah portion for yourself!

I understand that actually it should be started at Simchat Torah with:

Bereshit

Noach

Lech Lecha

Vayera

and now Chayei Sarah. Let us started following now.

Shalom chaverim!

Did Yeshua (Jesus) cancel the Torah?

Did Yeshua (Jesus) cancel the Torah?

Shalom,

What does the Bible say about the TORAH?

Psa 119:142  KJV
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy LAW [TORAH] is the TRUTH.

Jer 31:33  KJV
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my LAW [TORAH] in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Mat 5:17  KJV
Think not that I am come to destroy the LAW [TORAH], or the prophets: I am NOT come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18  KJV
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the LAW [TORAH], till all be fulfilled.

1Jn 3:4  KJV
Whosoever committeth SIN transgresseth also the LAW [TORAH]: for SIN is the transgression of the LAW [TORAH].

Hos 4:6  KJV
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the LAW [TORAH] of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Please consider this :

Yeshua (Jesus) never broke the TORAH. If Yeshua (Jesus) broke the TORAH, that means He sinned, and we have no salvation at all.

What Yeshua (Jesus) did was He confronted the Pharisee's Traditions. NOT the TORAH! They had added so many rules, so it became difficult to obey the TORAH.

May ADONAI bless you in your study. Barukh HaShem b'shem Yeshua HaMashiach (Praise the LORD in the Name of Yeshua the Messiah).

What I believe

Deu 4:8
And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
Deu 4:9
Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;

Deu 11:19
And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Deu 11:20
And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
Deu 11:21

That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
