RENUNGAN UNTUK MASA 10 HARI DARI ROSH HA’SHANAH KE YOM KIPPUR (ימים נוראים)

RENUNGAN UNTUK MASA 10 HARI DARI ROSH HA’SHANAH KE YOM KIPPUR (ימים נוראים)
Shalom chaverim,

ROSH HASHANAH AND THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD

ROSH HASHANAH AND RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD

© ORI

Shalom chaverim,

1 Corinthians 15:51-52
51 Look, I will tell you a secret — not all of us will die! But we will all be changed! 52 It will take but a moment, the blink of an eye, at the final shofar. For the shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised to live forever, and we too will be changed.

When will the resurrection of the dead take place? What does the chazal (sages) say about the resurrection of the dead according to Traditional Judaism? Did Rabbi Shaul use Oral Torah in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52?

Let's read the Talmud Rosh HaShanah 16b:

" R. Kruspedai said in the name of R. Johanan: Three books are opened [in heaven] on New Year, one for the thoroughly wicked, one for the thoroughly righteous, and one for the intermediate. The thoroughly righteous are forthwith inscribed definitively in the book of life; the thoroughly wicked are forthwith inscribed definitively in the book of death; the doom of the intermediate is suspended from New Year till the Day of Atonement; if they deserve well, they are inscribed in the book of life; if they do not deserve well, they are inscribed in the book of death. Said R. Abin, What text tells us this? — Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous. ‘Let them be blotted out from the book — this refers to the book of the wicked. ‘Of life — this is the book of the righteous. ‘And not be written with the righteous’ — this is the book of the intermediate. R. Nahman b. Isaac derives it from here: And if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written, ‘Blot me, I pray thee’ — this is the book of the wicked. ‘Out of thy book’ — this is the book of the righteous. ‘Which thou has written’ — this is the book of the intermediate.

It has been taught: Beth Shammai say, There will be three groups at the Day of Judgment — one of thoroughly righteous, one of thoroughly wicked, and one of intermediate. The thoroughly righteous will forthwith be inscribed definitively as entitled to everlasting life; the thoroughly wicked will forthwith be inscribed definitively as doomed to Gehinnom, as it says. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to reproaches and everlasting abhorrence. The intermediate will go down to Gehinnom."

The Talmud states that on Rosh HaShanah the dead will be raised (Talmud Rosh HaShanah 16b). This corresponds to the "last shofar" (Tekiah HaGadol) mentioned by Rabbi Shaul in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52.

INDONESIA:

1 Korintus 15:51

Mari kita membaca Talmud Rosh HaShanah 16b:

THE YEAR 5775

THE YEAR 5775
Andre Widodo
© Talmidim Ha'Mashiach Ministries - Messianic Judaism

Shalom,

The year 5775:

1.)
ה HEY (5) - ז ZAYIN (7) - ז ZAYIN (7) - ה HEY (5)

The Hebrew letter ה HEY:
According to the Jewish mystics, HEY represents the DIVINE BREATH, REVELATION, and LIGHT. "By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth" (Psalm 33:6). In the Talmud (Menachot 29b) it is said that the "BREATH of His mouth" refers to the sound of the letter HEY - the outbreathing of Spirit. The Unspeakable Name, יְהֹוָה, includes two instances of the letter HEY. According to one midrash, י YOD left א ALEPH to become part of ד DALET, thus forming ה HEY. Since ALEPH represents G-d and DALET represents broken humanity, HEY is a picture of the presence of G-d within the human heart. This function of HEY can be seen when (אַבְרָם - Abram) was renamed to
(אַבְרָהָם - Abraham) and (שָׂרָי - Sarai) was renamed to (שָׂרָה - Sarah).

The Hebrew letter ז ZAYIN:
ZAYIN is considered a "crowned" VAV. Just as VAV represents "yashar," straight light from G-d to man, so ZAYIN represents RETURNING LIGHT. Baal Shem Tov said that just as a woman of valor is the crown of her husband, so ZAYIN, the 7th letter, is the crown of VAV. The gematria of the word ZAYIN is 67, which is the same value for the word BINAH [בִּינָה], meaning UNDERSTANDING. Interestingly, the word BINAH could also means BEN YAH [בֵּן יָהּ], SON OF HA'SHEM. Since VAV represents man and ZAYIN is the crowned VAV (i.e., the Crowned Man), we can also see that the ZAYIN represents Yeshua the Messiah, the true King of the Jews. And since ZAYIN also represents a sword, we see the Man Yeshua equipped with the sword of the Holy Spirit.

So the year 5775 = ה HEY (5) - ז ZAYIN (7) - ז ZAYIN (7) - ה HEY (5) = BEHOLD / REVELATION, CROWNED MAN, YESHUA, DIVINE MESSIAH

2.)
ה HEY (5) - ת TAV (400) - ש SHIN (300) - ע AYIN (70) - ה HEY (5)

The Hebrew letter ת TAV:
The pictograph of letter TAV is associated with meanings of: MARK, SIGN, MONUMENT, CROSS (of the Messiah).

The Hebrew letter ש SHIN:
SHIN is apparently a pictograph representing two front teeth, and is associated with meanings of: SHARP, PRESS, EAT, and TWO. SHIN also stands for the word SHADDAI, the Name of G-d. Look up for the coming of the L-rd.

The Hebrew letter ע AYIN:
The word AYIN means EYE, TO SEE, and by extension, TO UNDERSTAND and TO OBEY (Jer 5:21; Isa 6:10; Mat 13:15). AYIN further represents the PRIMEVAL LIGHT, that is, the SPIRITUAL LIGHT of G-d mentioned in Gen 1:3 (in distinction to celestial lights mentioned in Gen 1:14-18). This LIGHT is the LIGHT OF DIVINE MESSIAH.

According to Jewish midrash, this DIVINE LIGHT is far greater than the light that emanates from the sun and stars. Though concealed in the Torah, the spiritual eye can behold the presence of this radiance, but only by means of inner eye given by the Ruach HaKodesh.

So the year 5775 = ה HEY (5) - ת TAV (400) - ש SHIN (300) - ע AYIN (70) - ה HEY (5) = BEHOLD / REVELATION - THE MARK / SIGN / CROSS - EAT / CONSUME / DESTROY - EYE / TO SEE / TO UNDERSTAND / DIVINE MESSIAH - THE REVELATION / THE LIGHT / DIVINE BREATH = SHEMITAH Year = Blood Moon = Solar Eclipse.

Could the 7 years Great Tribulation be started at the end of Shemitah year, at the new cycle of seven years? No one knows, but let's be ready!

DARI SHAVU'OT KE ROSH HA'SHANAH, YOM KIPPUR DAN SUKKOT
© ORI

Shalom,

Tanggal 6 Sivan pendakian pertama dimulai, yaitu ketika Moshe (Musa) menerima 10 Perintah Elohim [Aseret Ha'Devarim - עֲשֶׂרֶת הַדְּבָרִים].

Tanggal 17 Tammuz, genap 40 hari 40 malam, Moshe (Musa) turun gunung setelah ia selesai mempelajari semua MITZVOT Ha'Shem, tetapi Moshe (Musa) melihat bangsa Israel menyembah Patung Lembu Emas di Keluaran 32:19.

Keluaran 32:19

Tanggal 1 Tishri ditiupkan SHOFAR untuk MEMBANGUNKAN; MEMPERSIAPKAN masa 10 hari, yaitu "Ten Days of Awe" [עשרת ימי תשובה - Aseret Yemei] dari Hari Raya YOM TERU'AH (ROSH HA'SHANAH) sampai Hari Raya YOM KIPPUR tanggal 10 Tishri.

===========

1.)
Dalam kurun waktu Hari Raya SHAVU'OT sampai SUKKOT, Moshe (Musa) naik turun Gunung Sinai selama 3 kali, dan masing-masing dihabiskan selama 40 hari 40 malam.

2.)
Mengapa 40? Apa arti signifikan dari angka 40?
Angka 40 memiliki arti:
-. PEMURNIAN

-. UJIAN
Yeshua berpuasa 40 hari 40 malam. Bangsa Israel mengembara di padang gurun 40 tahun

-. PEMBENTUKAN
Seperti embrio terbentuk setelah 40 hari setelah coitus, demikian juga angka 40 melambangkan PEMBENTUKAN kehidupan yang baru.

-. HURUF IBRANI "MEM"
Huruf "MEM" [מ] mempunyai nilai gematria 40.

3.)
Hari Raya SHAVU'OT tanggal 6 Sivan adalah berasal dari metode penghitungan Omer kaum Farisi, sehingga:
-. Dari 6 Sivan s/d 17 Tammuz (TZOM TAMMUZ)= 40 hari 40 malam
-. Dari 19 Tammuz s/d 29 Av = 40 hari 40 malam
-. Dari 1 Elul s/d 10 Tishri (YOM KIPPUR) =  40 hari 40 malam [3]

Tetapi...

Jika Hari Raya SHAVU'OT dihitung berdasarkan metode penghitungan Omer kaum Saduki, maka konsekuensinya adalah:

Andre Widodo
© ORI

Shalom,

Hari Raya ROSH HA'SHANAH, yaitu HARI RAYA TAHUN BARU YAHUDI semakin dekat.

"Yehi razton milefancha shet’kiat TASHRAT sh’anachnu tokim t’hei m’rukemet hai’reeah al yadei hammunah Tartiel k’shem sheqibalta al yad Eliyahu Z”L, vi'YESHUA Sar Ha'Panim v’Sar MemTet. V’timeleh aleinu b’rachamim. Baruch atah Ha'Shem, ba’al rachamim.

May it be your will (before you) that the sounding of the TASRHAT that we blow be woven into the curtain by the hand of the minister, Tartiel, like the name that was received by the hand of Eliyahu (his memory be for a blessing), and YESHUA the Prince of the Face, and the Prince Metatron. And may you be filled with mercy for us. Blessed are you, Master of mercies."

NOTE:
TASHRAT = Tekiah, Shevarim, Teruah, Tekiah Ha'gadolah, yaitu 4 macam tiupan SHOFAR.

PERTANYAAN:
1.) Siapakah YESHUA yang dimaksud di dalam MACHZOR ROSH HA'SHANAH?

Figur METATRON ini juga disebut sebagai "THE PRINCE OF THE COUNTENANCE" [4], yaitu "PRINCE OF THE FACE", karena kedekatannya dengan Ha'Shem sendiri.

Keluaran 3:6
Lagi Ia berfirman: "Akulah Elokim ayahmu, Elokim Avraham, Elohim Itzhak dan Elokim Yaakov." Lalu Moshe menutupi mukanya, sebab ia takut memandang Elokim.

Daniel Abrams, dari Bar-Ilan University, memberikan keterangan tentang penjelasan Professor Yehudah Liebes dengan mengatakan: ""Yehuda Liebes has brought to our attention the striking identification of METATRON with YESHUA in the liturgy." [7]

“…sound be embroidered into the [heavenly] curtain by the appointed angel [טרטיא”ל], just as You accepted prayers through Elijah, who is remembered for good; YESHUA (the COHEN HA'GADOL), minister of the Inner Chamber; and the ministering angel [מט”ט]; and may You be filled with mercy upon us. Blessed are You, Master of Mercies.”

Rosh HaShanah Machzor, Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, K’hal Publishing,pg. 449

"Barukh attah ADONAI Elokeinu Melekh ha-olam, asher kiddeshanu
be'mitzvotav ve'tzivanu lishmo'a kol shofar."

"Blessed art Thou, ADONAI our G-d, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to hear the sound of the shofar."

Tiup-kan Shofar!

Baruch Ha'Shem!

HARI RAYA YOM TERU'AH DAN IDIOM MESIAS DI MATIUS 24:36

HARI RAYA YOM TERU'AH DAN IDIOM MESIAS DI MATIUS 24:36
Andre Widodo
© ORI

Shalom,

Tahu, kah Anda ketika MESIAS mengatakan Matius 24:36 sebenarnya IA sedang memberikan sebuah IDIOM yang bernuansakan AKAR IBRANI?

Matius 24:36 - Terjemahan Baru (TB-LAI)

Matthew 24:36 - Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
“But when that DAY [ημερας - EMERAS] and HOUR [ωρας - ORAS] will come, no one knows — not the angels in heaven, not the Son, only the Father.

Matthew 24:36 - King James Version (KJV)
But of that DAY [ημερας - EMERAS] and HOUR [ωρας - ORAS] knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

ΚΑΤΑ ΜΑΤΘΑΙΟΝ 24:36 - 1550 Stephanus New Testament (TR1550)

peri  de  tēs  EMERAS ekeinēs  kai  ORAS  oudeis  oiden,  oude  oi  angeloi  tōn  ouranōn  oude  o  uios,  ei  mē  o  patēr  monos.

ve.al mo.ed ha.yom ha.hu ve.ha.sha.ah ha.hi ein ish yo.de.a ve.lo mal.ach ba.sha.ma.yim bil.ti ha.Av le.va.do

PESACH (PASKAH): 15 NISAN.
CHAG HA'MATZOT ROTI TAK BERAGI): 15 NISAN - 22 NISAN.
REISHIT KATZIR (BUAH SULUNG): 17 NISAN.

SHAVUOT (PENTAKOSTA): 6 SIVAN - 7 SIVAN.

YOM TERUAH (SANGKAKALA): 1 TISHRI - 2 TISHRI
YOM KIPPUR (PENDAMAIAN): 10 TISHRI
SUKKOT (PONDOK DAUN): 15 TISHRI - 21 TISHRI.

Kolose 2:16 - Terjemahan Baru (TB-LAI)

Jika YESHUA mengatakan:

Matius 24:36 - Terjemahan Baru (TB-LAI)

Matthew 24:36 - Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
“But when that DAY [ημερας - EMERAS] and HOUR [ωρας - ORAS] will come, no one knows — not the angels in heaven, not the Son, only the Father.

The Wedding of The Lamb is not casual dinner

The Wedding of The Lamb is not casual dinner

Shalom,

Rev 19:9  KJV
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Rev 19:16  KJV
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Rev 19:17  KJV
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

If we dine at an elite restaurant, and their attire is a suit and a tie, the restaurant staffs, they will not let you in at the door with jeans and a T-shirt.

The same principle reflects spiritually.

The Bible warns us about the Wedding of the Lamb. He is God, the King of kings. Everyone who believes and accepts in His Son Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) as Savior, is invited to the Wedding of the Lamb. But few are willing to preparethemselves with : wedding clothes of righteousness.

Rev 19:7  KJV
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Rev 19:8  KJV
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

What is the righteousness?

Gen 15:6  KJV
And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Psa 119:172  KJV
My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

Joh 16:8  KJV
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Eph 5:9  KJV
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Righteousness is God's Word; Righteousness is God's Commandment; Righteousness is the Spirit of God. Righteousness is Holy Spirit.

Among Messianic believers, we believe that Holy Spirit is the Living Torah. He writes the Torah in our hearts, not on the 2 tablets stone, but inwardly in our hearts.

This is our wedding clothes of righteousness.

We are not invited to a "casual dinner" party at Mc Donald's, but we are invited to a "Wedding of the King of kings". We have to be ready and prepare our lives before our Lord rapture us.

The Wedding of the Lamb is at hand!

Bamashiach Yeshua barukh hu. Amen.

Rapture is on Rosh HaShanah

Rosh HaShanah is known as the Jewish New Year. It is called as Yom Teruah or the Day of Trumpets (Shofars). The day when all the believers blow the 4th blast Tekiah HaGadolah.

Tekiah HaGadolah is : "the great Tekiah," a single unbroken blast, held as long as possible.

There are 4 types of Shofar blasts :

the Tekiah : the "blast," one long blast with a clear tone.
the Shevarim : a "broken," sighing sound of three short calls.
the Teruah : the "alarm," a rapid series of nine or more very short notes.
the Tekiah Gedolah : "the great Tekiah," a single unbroken blast, held as long as possible.

Usually, a combination of Tekiah, Shevarim, Teruah, is blasted and ending with a Tekiah Gedolah.

The Tekiah HaGadolah is for celebrating the coming of HaKohen HaGadol or the High Priest which is our Lord Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ).

From the Old Testament, the blowing of shofar is always related the coming presence of the Lord.

Exo 19:18 KJV
And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
Exo 19:19 KJV
And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.

In the New Testament :

1Co 15:52 KJV
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1Th 4:16 KJV
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

When is the Day when the last trumpet usually blown? Rosh HaShanah! It is a picture of Rapture.

Keep watching, we are now approaching the day of Rosh HaShanah.

What is Rosh Hashanah?

Shalom,

What is Rosh Hashanah?

Rosh Hashanah
is Hebrew words.

Rosh means "the head" or "the new". Like in :

Col 2:16  CJB
So don't let anyone pass judgment on you in connection with eating and drinking, or in regard to a Jewish festival or Rosh-Hodesh or Shabbat.

Col 2:16  KJV
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Ha is a prefix, like in the word HaMashiach (in Hebrew) = the Messiah (in English).

Shanah
means "year". Like in :

Lev 23:41  CJB
You are to observe it as a feast to Adonai seven days in
the year [שׁנה - shânâh]
; it is a permanent regulation, generation after generation; keep it in the seventh month.
Lev 23:41  KJV
And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year [שׁנה - shânâh]. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

So Rosh Hashanah simply means "The head of the year" or "The New Year". Rosh Hashanah is a big feast that happen on the 7th month in biblical calendar.

Jewish Months

In biblical context this feast of Rosh Hashanah is called as Yom Teruah.
Yom means "The day".
Teruah means "Trumpets".
So Yom Teruah means "The Day of Trumpets".

Let us read the Word of God regarding this Rosh Hashanah or Yom Teruah.

Lev 23:24  CJB
"Tell the people of Isra'el, 'In the seventh month, the first of the month is to be for you a day of complete rest for remembering, a holy convocation announced with blasts on the shofar.

Lev 23:24  KJV
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

What does Rosh Hashanah represent to?

To Orthodox Jews :
According to Jewish tradition, on Rosh Hashanah the destiny of the righteous, the tzaddikim, are written in the Book of Life, and the destiny of the wicked, the resha'im, are written in the Book of Death. However, many people (perhaps most people) will not be inscribed in either book, but have ten days, until Yom Kippur, to repent before sealing their fate. Then comes the term Aseret Yemei Teshuvah - the Ten Days of Repentance. On Yom Kippur, then, everyone's name will be sealed in one of the two books. The shofar (ram's horn) is blasted at least 100 times during a typical Rosh Hashanah service, thus satisfying the commandment to make Teruah ("noise") on this day.The sound of the shofar, then, is meant to stir the heart to fear and to inspire teshuvah (repentance).

Amo 3:6  CJB
When the shofar is blown in the city, don't the people tremble? Can disaster befall a city without Adonai's having done it?

The blast of the shofar is meant to jolt us from our sleep.

To Messiah believers :
As Messianic believers, we maintain that Judgment Day has come and justice was served through the sacrificial offering of Yeshua for our sins.

2Co 5:21  CJB
God made this sinless man be a sin offering on our behalf, so that in union with him we might fully share in God's righteousness."

He is the perfect fulfillment of the Akedah of Isaac. Our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life, or Sefer HaChayim (Rev. 13:8).

Rev 13:8  CJB
Everyone living on earth will worship it except those whose names are written in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb slaughtered before the world was founded.

We do not believe that we are made acceptable in God's sight by means of our own works of righteousness.

Tit 3:5  CJB
he delivered us. It was not on the ground of any righteous deeds we had done, but on the ground of his own mercy. He did it by means of the mikveh of rebirth and the renewal brought about by the Ruach HaKodesh,
Tit 3:6  CJB
whom he poured out on us generously through Yeshua the Messiah, our Deliverer.
But that does not excuse us from being without such works (as fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives).

The Scriptures clearly warn that on the Day of Judgment to come, anyone's name not found written in the Book of Life will be thrown into the lake of fire.

Rev 20:15  CJB
Anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life was hurled into the lake of fire.

The Spring Festivals (Passover, Firstfruits, and Shavuot) have been perfectly fulfilled in the first coming of Yeshua as Mashiach ben Yosef, and the Fall Festivals (Teruah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot) will be fulfilled in His second coming as Mashiach ben David.

Since the first advent fulfilled all of the spring mo'edim to the smallest of details, we believe that His second advent portends similar fulfillment as revealed in the fall feasts or mo'edim.

After the summer of harvest (John 4:35), the very first Fall festival on the Jewish calendar is Yom Teruah, which is a picture of the "catching away"  or "rapture" of kallat Mashiach (the Bride of Christ) for the time of Sheva Berachot (seven "days" of blessing that follows the marriage ceremony).

Joh 4:35  CJB
Don't you have a saying, 'Four more months and then the harvest'? Well, what I say to you is: open your eyes and look at the fields! They're already ripe for harvest!

After the rapture, or after Yom Teruah, then will come the Great Tribulation and Yom Adonai - the Day of the LORD.

The heavenly shofar blasts heard at Sinai and later it will be reissued from Zion.  First will be the gathering together of those who follow the Mashiach ( for those declared tzaddikim because of the merit of Yeshua's sacrifice),

1Th 4:16  CJB
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a rousing cry, with a call from one of the ruling angels, and with God's shofar; those who died united with the Messiah will be the first to rise;
1Th 4:17 CJB
then we who are left still alive will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord.

And then God's war against Satan and the world system will begin, culminating in the long-awaited coronation of the King of King of Kings - Melech Malchei Ha-Melachim.

Rosh Hashanah (or better, Yom Teruah) is therefore a sacred time that has prophetic significance for the Messianic believer, since it commemorates both the creation of the universe by Adonai as well as the "calling up" of the new creation at the behest of Yeshua, when the sound of the heavenly shofar inaugurates the anticipated End of Days (1Co 15:51-54; 1Th 4:15-18). It also prefigures the coming Day of the LORD and Great Tribulation period that marks God's judgment on an unbelieving world.

With the appearance of the Great King comes great judgment.  Let's be ready to appear before this awesome King, chaverim, by turning to Him now and trusting in His redemption and love for us.

Happy Rosh Hashanah, Happy New Year 5770. May your name be written in the Book of Life because Yeshua is coming as Mashiach ben David.

From Rosh Hashanah to Simchat Torah

Shalom,

The following is a list of the fall holiday dates according to the Gregorian Calendar. Please note that according to the custom of the Biblical Calendar all holidays begin at sundown :

1. ROSH HASHANAH 1 TISHRI 5770 - FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 18th

Rosh Hashanah begins Friday, September 18th this year (this is a Shabbat). According to traditional Jewish thinking, this holiday commemorates the creation of mankind by G-d. The Mishnah (earlier part of the Talmud) refers to Rosh Hashanah as the "Day of Judgment" since all of creation owes allegiance to the Creator and is accountable to Him.

The Name Elokim revealed in Genesis 1:1 bespeaks G-d as the Creator and Judge of the universe.

The Name YUD-KEY-VAV-KEY, on the other hand, reveals G-d's compassion, as the One who intimately relates to humanity and breathes into us the breath of life (Gen 2:4).

In Jewish tradition on Rosh Hashanah we stand before G-d as our personal Creator and Judge. Many Messianic Jews believe that the sound of the shofar on Rosh Hashanah is a symbol of the rapture of the followers of the Messiah to Jerusalem.

2. YOM KIPPUR 10 TISHRI 5770 - SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 27th

Yom Kippur begins an hour before sundown on Sunday, September 27th. The 25 hour fast runs until an hour past sundown on Monday, September 28th. This is perhaps the most important holiday of the Jewish Year and holds tremendous prophetic significance.  It is considered a mitzvah to eat a sacred meal with loved ones, just before the fast begins.

The sound of the shofar on Yom Kippur is called gedolah, since it signifies the "sealing of the books" for the coming year.... Yom Kippur prophetically pictures the "Day of the LORD" or the Day of Judgment in the End of Days).

3. SUKKOT 15 TISHRI - 22 TISHRI 5770 - FRIDAY OCTOBER 2nd - FRIDAY OCTOBER 9th

Five days after Yom Kipppur marks the start of the seven-day festival of Sukkot (referred to as "Tabernacles" in the Christian tradition). It can be argued that Sukkot is the climax of all the festivals in Scripture.

Everything leads to it as a culmination in G-d's prophetic plan. Sukkot concludes with an additional holiday called "Shemini Atzeret," on Friday, October 9th.

Note :
The Torah Reading Cycle is suspended for the holiday week of Sukkot as well as for Shemini Atzeret (sometimes referred to as the eighth day of Sukkot). Sukkot, Hoshana Rabbah, and Shemini Atzeret Torah readings are from Leviticus 22-23, Numbers 29, and Deuteronomy 14-16. These readings detail the laws of all of the mo'edim or "appointed times" on the Jewish calendar and include the mitzvot regarding the festival of Sukkot.

4. SIMCHAT TORAH 22 TISHRI 5770 - SATURDAY OCTOBER 10th

Simchat Torah ("Joy of Torah") immediately follows the festival of Sukkot (Shemini Atzeret evening service). On Simchat Torah we conclude, and begin a new, the annual Torah-reading cycle. First we read the Torah section of V'zot Haberakhah, and then we read the first chapter of Genesis (the beginning of the next Shabbat's Torah reading).

Blessing in Yeshua's Name,
Andre

Picture of Rapture in Tanakh

Shalom,

We know that we are already in the month of Elul in Biblical Calendar. The month of Elul is the month of selichot (forgiveness) and the month of teshuvah (repentance) before the great days of Rosh HaShanah (Yom Teruah), Yom Kippur and Sukkot in the month of Tishri.

Jewish Months

Beginning on the second day of Elul and continuing until Erev Rosh HaShanah (the night before Rosh HaShanah) the custom is to blow the shofar every day (except on t
he Shabbat).

Psalm 27 is often recited every day during this time as well.
The shofar is made of ram's horn. There are four primary types of shofar's blasts :

  1. Tekiah  - A long single blast (the sound of the King's coronation)
  2. Shevarim - Three short wail-like blasts (signifying repentance)
  3. Teru'ah - Nine staccato blasts of alarm (to awaken the soul)
  4. Tekiah HaGadol - A great long blast (for as long as you can blow!)
The general custom is to first blow tekiah, followed by shevarim, followed by teruah, and to close with tekiah hagadol.

Photobucket
To get better view about how to blow shofar's blast, let us see this :

Or you can click your mouse to speaker icon to hear each shofar's blast.

Listen to the Shofar (click speaker icon)

And
on Rosh HaShanah (Yom Teruah) the shofar is blasted at least 100 times during a typical Rosh HaShanah service, thus satisfying the commandment (Lev 23:24) to make Teru'ah (noise) on this day.

Lev 23:24  KJV
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

So according to Lev 23:24, in the seventh month which is the month of Tishri, in the first day of Tishri is the day of Yom Teruah (Rosh HaShanah). We blow the shofar.

If we hear the sound of shofar's blast, if we hear the blow of trumpets, what does it mean? Now, I want you to understand that in the Bible, the sound of shofar's blast or the sound of trumpets, it represents the presence of the LORD God Almighty.

Note :
Please notice the bold Words below.

Exo 19:16  KJV
And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

Exo 19:19  KJV
And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
Exo 19:20  KJV
And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

When the voice of the trumpet sounded long, which is Tekiah HaGadol, the LORD came down, and Moses went up. The LORD came down and Moses went up. The LORD came down and Moses came up.

Do you get the picture? Do you get the idea?

This is talking about the Rapture!!!

In Brit Chadashah (The New Testament) Paul explained the same thing.

1Th 4:16  KJV
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17  KJV
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

With the voice of archangel, with the trump of God, the Lord will come and the dead in Yeshua HaMashiach shall rise first, then we (the believers) who are still alive shall be caught up, shall be raptured.

Everytime in the Bible if there 're blast of trumpets, it will be followed by the coming of the Lord. It happened in Mount Sinai. It happened when Yeshua was born.

Luk 2:13  KJV
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

And finally it will be happening in the near future, the Rapture, the Blessed Hope.

Tit 2:13  KJV
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
While we are waiting for this Rapture, Paul reminded us to comfort each other with this hope. We have a hope, we have a blessed hope to see the Lord.

1Th 4:18  KJV
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

What should we do while we are waiting this blessed hope? As Moses told the people of Israel to sanctify themselves,

Exo 19:10  KJV
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,

and as Paul also said to sanctify and blameless,

1Th 5:23  KJV
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

we must sanctify ourselves and make our spirit-soul-body blameless while we are waiting the coming of the Lord in Rapture. This month of Elul, is the time for selichot and teshuvah, it is the time for forgiveness and repentance.

Ask forgiveness to everbody, ask everybody to repent before the coming of the Lord. This was what John the Baptizer did before Yeshua show Himself to the public. And this is exactly the same thing what we should do before the Lord Yeshua comes down and His Bride comes up.

Keep in His Word, sanctify yourselves with His Word, and I pray so that you are all blameless in your spirit, soul and body.

Love in Yeshua HaMashiach,
Andre
